For this project, I developed a visual brand identity for a French-inspired café named 'Mon Chéri,' set in the heart of SoHo. Drawing inspiration from the elegant aesthetics of Laduree and LoveShackFancy, I aimed to create a brand that exudes femininity and chic sophistication.
I crafted a comprehensive brand identity, including the café's name, logo, and overall visual style. The centerpiece of my design is a distinctive menu presented as a charger plate, which integrates seamlessly into the table setting. This unique approach not only elevates the dining experience but also reinforces the brand’s luxurious and immersive atmosphere.
I went the extra mile by producing and photographing the plate menus, capturing the intricate details and enhancing the overall presentation. This project showcases my ability to blend art direction with innovative design solutions, creating a compelling and persuasive brand identity.
This project was truly a labor of love, reflecting my personal style and aesthetics. It came together naturally, right down to the location—modeled after the spots where my friends and I used to hang out during my NYU days. One of the biggest lessons I learned was that when you're given creative freedom, you should really go all out.
I never thought I’d end up with a charger plate menu, and the production was a serious learning curve (shoutout Cricut!), but the final product turned out exactly as I envisioned. The resourcefulness I gained from this experience will be something I bring to my future projects.
